The Pacific North West Guppy Associates was formed in the summer of 2000 to advance the care and breeding of show standard Guppies among its members. The club became a member of the IFGA (International Fancy Guppy Association) in November, 2000. The primary role of the club is to share information about the care and breeding of the beautiful and delicate show Guppies found on the IFGA show circuit each year. Show Guppies look quite different from those found in the retail store because of the judging standards observed by IFGA breeders. They tend to be larger, with larger fins and deeper, richer colors. Our club is dedicated to helping its members to rise to the challenge of the IFGA standards, and help them to eventually take their place on the show circuit.
